Mandatory Guidelines for the Use of Smile ID

In order to improve Smile ID system performance and achieve the target of 98–99% real operational uptime, the following guidelines are mandatory for all locations:

🔹 Mandatory Rules for Clock In / Clock Out

  • Registration must be completed without hats, glasses, headsets, or face masks.
  • The face must be fully visible.
  • Look directly at the camera.
  • Ensure proper front lighting.
  • Do not move the tablet during registration.

🔹 In Case of Failure

  • Wait 2–3 seconds before trying again.
  • If recognition fails after 3 attempts:
    • Check the WiFi connection.
    • Restart the application.
    • If the issue persists, restart the tablet.
    • Report the incident, including:
      • Location
      • Employee name
      • Approximate time

These guidelines are not optional. They are necessary conditions for proper facial recognition functionality.
